Sorry for not posting anything in a while, I don't mean to worry anyone.

Only reply I got to the ad I placed was from a scammer. Went to look at one place, which would have been perfect as they raised chickens and ducks and had no problems with the rabbits, but it fell through when I said I had a dog and three cats.

Answered another couple of ads but one never replied, and the other had already found someone.

Things around here have been stressful. I'm was trying to stay positive, but now I'm just depressed and discouraged.

Another update. Bunnies will most probably be going to stay at a friend's house for a few months while I crash in my other friend's basement. I should be out of here by Tuesday evening.

After that, I will be looking for something more permanent with my son and his roommate. With three of us, we'll be able to afford to rent a house.

Two chickens (my elderly OEGB and the red sex-link hen that is living inside) will be coming with me, as well as my dog and cats.

Back to the stress of packing.

At least you have a place to go Wind, hopefully with the help of your son and roommate, you can rent something you find comfortable and accommodating. Besides, winter is coming, this sounds all good enough!

Welp, so much for that...

The storage unit I rented out was broken into over the weekend, as were the other units in that row.

Two things were taken (there wasn't much in it), a garden cart (which the thieves probably used to load up the contents of the other units), and my desktop computer. I didn't put that there, I had given my friend the key and asked him to drop some stuff off but was pretty sure I also said to bring the computer to his place. He was also the one that was dropping off more stuff for me yesterday and discovered the break in.

Most of the rabbits have been transported to my friend's, except for the two does with kits. Doing chores this morning barely took any time.

I feel miserable.

Sheesh! What creeps! Some people need to be run over and thrown into the muskeg. Useless oxygen wasters.

I am now back in the city. Well, suburbs. Don't think I could stand downtown. BLEH!

With me are the dog and cats, as well as the two rabbits with babies (although the one's are weaned now and I started selling them), and my remaining OEGB, which resides inside in a large cage because Ottawa by-laws do not allow chickens. I should get her a tiny harness so I can take her out occasionally.

Staying in my friend's basement. It's actually more spacious than the trailer. Cats are loving it, and the dog is still getting used to all the new smells and sights and sounds.

Stress and anxiety are still present, but a bit better now. Still need to get the last of my stuff, but that's going to have to wait until I can afford a moving van or a large trailer.

On another note, I've got two rabbits entered in the local rabbit show on Saturday! A Standard Rex and a Belgian Hare. They won't do well, I know that, but I'm there to learn. I didn't breed either of them. NEXT YEAR, though, I hope to be able to enter my own Rex!

I am excited for your local rabbit show. I have never been to a rabbit show before and it sounds interesting. Please take a one or two (or a few more ) photos for us as I am curious to see the goings-on. Are there different categories, like for example 'the rabbit that jumps the highest' or 'the rabbit that jumps over huddles in the fastest time' ?
