I don't use names because i don't like to give away too much especially about children on a public forum. People troll these things for names and create fake IDs from them because they know a person named that does exist some where.

It actually doesn't take a whole lot of work to find some of these kids on here.

(And I remember when it was the coolest thing ever to have a "bag" phone. That sucker was bigger than the laptop I am writing on now!!

Online, people don't usually know you and your whole family history. If you say, "Tom and I went to the grocery store," you could mean anything.

Replacing the name with an abbreviation not only gives your family some anonymity (gotta love that word), but also clarifies who you're talking about to the people reading your post.

I always use "the wife". I think it could be taken wrongly if i called her "DW" . WHO the heck started the "dear thing" anyhow ??

I know about "anaminamy (anonymity)" LOL

I keep "the wifes" name anonymous also.
