Thank you for making this thread! How do I find these pure bred breeds? I have a 'RIR' that I got from a hatchery and recently I went to a show and saw these dark auburn hens that were RIRs and I was wondering why mine looked nothing like these showbirds. It makes sense now!

You can find them mostly at shows by talking with the breeders and acquiring stock from them.

You can also find them on the Poultry Show Central website in the breeder's directory
