Have you seen it go erect? The turkeys at the shows did it, but my Tom never did.

Turkey snood erect speaks volumes

A relaxed or dangling snood is a sign of confidence. Turkey snood erect means nervous. There is not a drop of fear in turkey’s birds body. He is digging the scene and going nowhere fast.

Guess my Tom never had any reason to have an erect snood.

Well, I guess I don't know??? I have 3 toms at the moment...they are dangle'n it like in the pic there I posted with different shades of red to blue or sometimes have it reeled up and looking like a grub....lol. Haven;t seen anything else???

Mine kinda do what is in the picture you posted.

Here's my 2 BBB tom's facing the camera here. They reel it up like the one on the right and let it down like the other one there....takes a fraction of a second to let it down then bring it back up if they want. In the mornings they have it down almost the whole time, struttin' around and stuff, then in the mid-day and afternoon have it reeled up. They let it down in a hurry when I get to gobbling at them...

. We have a good time. The snood just falls right down, I've never seen them get long and stick up in the air if that is what you mean...I hope my turkeys aren't unhappy, they seem fine if what they are doing is what you are talking about. .
