The cat one is scary, his back blends in well with the stones so it looks like his head is rising from the gravel.

It's a Pietrain, it's a european breed of pigs. We got him from an AI facility. Retired sperm donor, hehe. He had lived his entire life on concrete, when we brought him here it was the very first time he set foot on soft ground...took him a while to get adjusted, but a few sunburns later, he's now a hardy outdoor pig.

He bred our Berkshire sows just to see how that cross would turn out.

Kept the ''extra'' roosters with the bunnies for a while...until they started trying to 'mount' them. Poor little bunnies, had to give some roosters away!

When we adopted our little barn cat...it met the pigs...then decided it was a good idea to sleep close to them, hehehe.

No matter how many times your broody hen will hatch some chicks...it's alway cute eh?! It just never gets old!

I love a good broody hen.....but they also drive me insane!! LOL My silkie hens are ALWAYS going broody.

I swear they take turns. No one lays any eggs, they just like to go broody. Sometimes they moult in between and go broody again. So not many eggs from my girls these days. lol They did well in the summer though. Not sure why they think October in New England is a good time to be broody??
