I think another factor is that you had Ice very tamed.  Somebody close knew that.  Did you tell police about it?   I am sick about it - people just decide they have an opportunity and cannot  let it go by without benefitting from it.

I agree. Guarantee they knew or maybe saw you at a fair

Thank you! Michigan huh? How's Michigan?

Wow that's awful! Lol idk how cold it is here but we've had a very mild winter so far, been 30s and 40s mostly with a few colder or warmer days. Lately it's been warm during the day then drops below freezing at night. The last few days i think it's probably been 30s or 20s even in the day. It snowed today and we are supposed to get a storm tomorrow. It snowed one other time but melted that day lol

The hens he was with were still there. No damage to the pen. Door was locked and has a bungee cord. No blood or feathers. Even when I got back from SD my hens that he was with still do a locating call. The person had to be close. First, you can't see any of my birds from the road. So you would have to know that I own peafowl. Dogs didn't attack or get hurt, so they knew the dogs well enough. Also they had to know that nobody was home. My dad left for a couple hours, he came home and he was gone. Also nothing else was touched. My Indian Blues weren't bothered. Chickens weren't bothered, pups were not stolen either. Only the White peacock was stolen

That's horrible! I wonder if there's anyway to find out who did it? :(

It seems like people are stealing animals more and more just to make a profit! It's so sickening and annoying. :barnie What has our world come too?! I often times worry about our Beagle, Olive, being stolen because she escapes a lot (little buggar goes right through the electric fence  ) and just wanders around the neighbors fields. Luckily we catch her each time, but I worry that maybe one day we wouldn't catch her and somebody else might take her and keep her because she's so nice.

That's probably one as well. He would be the easiest to steal out of all of them. We did notify the police. Fortunately the police and animal control work together. I'm hoping that whoever stole him didn't have a pen and forgot they can fly and that he escaped. So hopefully someone will call him in. I have been watching Craigslist.

They have teeny tiny microchips now so you can microchip birds. I had my galah done. If I were to lose her or she got stolen, I'd be able to prove she is mine if I found her again, or she got handed in at a vet's.

Sounds like you've been doing everything right and I really hope he turns up!

I've been watching craigslist, too. We sold an awesome gelding last year, and both me and his "girlfriend" miss him. We shouldn't have sold him...

Is there any way to contact the person who bought him? Might be a little awkward but maybe you could get him back
