i finally got some pics of my new boy and his lady. and i put my Chloe in with them today too. he seems to like her and she's fine with him, his hen is another matter of course. i've been calling him Big Papa (BP) and his girl is Little Honey.

I just hatched Welsh Harlequin ducks... I had just done a batch of Muscovy and somewhere in my pea sized brain thought that they still had a week to go... I heard peeping on the turner and opened the bator to find them all pipped and two zipped... dropped them in the hatcher with some emergency humidity (I use dry hatch) and they all hatched within ONE hour! I can't believe how forgiving good fertile eggs are... and the ducklings are soooo cute! Just have to share a pic! If I get a drake I'll name him Lucky-Ducky since he survived my hatching!

Picked up some bantam Fav's this evening

8 - 2 wk olds

And 4 - 4 wk old boys just for fun!

My 12 yr old DS saw them and loved the breed so we found some and picked them up. Good kids get stuff, bad kids don't! Well, I happen to think they are sweet too!

U fav owners seem to b a friendly bunch! I've enjoyed reading this thread more than any other. I hope to join your ranks soon. I'm looking forward to hatch day. How hardy are fav chicks?
