That is wonderful hope you get some good birds in my opinion faverolles are the perfect chickens

Dual purpose, beautiful, and docile. You will love them! I don't think faverolles are common anywhere in the world which is troubling. Even with the rise in the popularity of backyard chickens in the past few years I feel faverolles numbers have fallen and we have even lost LF buff faverolles.

good luck hatching!

when I am out of college the first thing I am going to do is make some LF buffs and get LF BBS. Its going to be almost all LF when I have my own farm but for now I am going to have just my little sweeties.

Hi Peter. I had the pleasure of going to visit Dick last weekend. He spent 3 hours talking favs with me. I'm so glad he still has his birds! I have 24 of his eggs in the bator.

Are you going to do LF solid lavenders, or LF lavender salmons? I think there's a lav orp roo on eggbid right now too. I can check later. Unless Henry has found you one by then.

I am working on bantam lavender with Dick using salmon faverolles hens and a black faverolles hen under a Lavender D'uccles cock. I found Dick's lavender male for him it will be easy to find eggs I will email you a list of contacts with lavender orp eggs or males now. My main concentration is moving toward blue black splash bantams and lavender bantam project I may also start some mottled crossings using mottled D'uccles depending on how the lavender splits turn out.

Peter, I don't know if Dick mentioned the Sussex eggs or not, but I'm the one who has them.

I like that cockerel he is a nice tone of lavender bright not dull at all. The D'uccles I am using has a bit of gold leakage. I am hoping that it goes away after breeding to black hens.

Ermine, lavender ermine and probably solid lavender along the way. I have 3 of Dick's black hens currently undergoing their quarantine. I'll put them in with my slightly smaller Sussex roo. Fingers crossed they're still laying in 3 weeks.
