He is non-dominant and often gets his beard plucked by the dominant roo and the hens when they are housed together... he does seem to have a very small remnant of wattle on that side only but I have never seen one of his offspring with any signs of it and he is so gentle I can pick him up and pet him and he likes it... that is a quality I consider worth a fault that is not being passed on... someone else might cull him... and eventually I will keep one of his sons and send him to chicken heaven but not today
I guess our minds are in different places... I was looking at the photos thinking "which one of those pigs (in the background) has such a skinny butt... I need to process that one!

If you'd like to sell your LF blue salmon male I'd be interested. Improving beard size/shape isn't a problem.
hey Henry, i know this is a little off topic but i know you had been looking at the bantam orps someone had been selling a week or so ago. i just came across ChickenZoo's listing for a dozen eggs of different breeds-LF and bantams and she has bantam colored orps along with some LF salmon & white favs.
Hey everyone I just put an auction up for 6+ of my Faverolles. These should be OxleyXHattrick by now because they have been in together for about 2 weeks now. Hopeing he is fertile I have not seen him mating anyone yet but I might just not be catching him at the right time he is much more shy then my other boy ever was. I will start cracking a few eggs after this order goes out to check for bullseyes.

Chickenzoo's eggs are from my roos who went to live with her, the eggs came from Pasofinofarms. The LF Faverolles.
Thats what I figured then I already have some eggs coming from melissa so we are covered on that end ha ha. I got excepted to the college I want to go to and at the bottom of my admissions letter it said "We look forward to you bringing your new ideas to our farm" Mind you this isn't agriculture school it was a speacial letter or addmission and I got a scholarship! The plan is I will bring both my LF and Bantam Faverolles
This is so awsome its Hampshire College in Amherst Mass! They have a Belted Dutch Dairy and raise a few chickens and pigs but I bet they wouldn't object to me bringing my flocks with me.
Congrats Henry! Since you said Dutch Belted I couldn't resist... here is a picture of my Mc Flurrie (creamy with oreos)... just to get you started. And yes I know she is not a Fav.
