You can't tell it, but I LOVE to clean. When my kids were little, you really would have been able to eat off my floors. Now, the dogs do.

But the Bar Keepers friend IS good, my mom had a can around all the time when I was growing up, loved it. Another thing I did not know, and someone with chemistry or whatever knowledge you would have for this theory, please let me know if this is true. Had a lady come into the store the other day and buy a big bottle of Ammonia. I asked her if that is what she cleaned with, and she said she put in her laundry, that it neutralized odors. She said they had a cat that would pee on certain things and this took that smell right out. I always thought Pine and Ammonia was the two things you didn't want to use around a cat, because of the obvious odor . . .

I clean my bathrooms really well, but our carpets are shot and we need new kitchen flooring and I get discouraged because there no moolah to do it with . . .but I do clean every single day, you just can't tell it like you use to. Dang it.

You are a woman after my own heart! Lol, I use Vinegar, Baking Soda, Salt, & Hydrogen Peroxide for everything (mixed up in different ways). A baking soda paste (mixed with water) is just as good as soft scrub for example.

We have well water with a lot of Iron in it. The only thing that removes water stains from the toilet is The Works, other than that we use Bar Keepers Friend for everything else.

Quick and Brite...Best there is... for whatever...It removes wax so know this...

It is an enzymatic so you use lots of water and let it soak for a minute... NO chemicals...you can eat it and it won't hurt .... CRAYON AND AXLE grease off carpet...no problem...Sharpie marker off velour.. no problem... Dried on Baby food... three weeks old (oatmeal etc) on a wood high chair... Walk in the park... When the naughty kids write on the walls... make them clean it up... Clothes (horse blankets).... nnnnice. Shower scum... use full strenght in a paste and wipe it on...lots of water to make it active and use a scrubby spong...Cleanest your house will ever be... No residue... only clean.. use in your carpet cleaner.

I use a lot of bleach and vinegar. Given the number of nasty little dogs that live with me. I figure bleach is my friend. So far I haven't had any problems using bleach on laminate flooring, but the next time we replace the floors in the house we are going to go with colored concrete. I have also been using borax in the washing machine. It works very well in a he machine. I am rather fond of isopropyl alcohol too. I continue to use other cleaners, but much less than I would have been using otherwise. I would like to continue to reduce my use of commercial cleaners. I have to admit that I get a kick out of using aerosol cans to apply cleaners. The cans give you a lovely foaming thing, that I don't seem to get with spray bottles. I forgot my 2 favorite commercial cleaners Super Clean (I get it at the auto parts), and Nature's Miracle (I get it at the feed store)

We just bought a hoover floormate...it's amazing.

I cleaned as I normally do with mop, bleach and bucket and the water was still brown.. keep in mind i mop every 2 days so its not like 6 months of dirt or anything.

it's AMAZING

and the stuff you add to it smells amazing!

Dawn (love the orange) for my dishes and bleach for just about everything else. I do a thorough wring out before mopping though, we've got Pergo floors, so sopping wet isn't an option.

Oh except all the flipping mirros, that's vinegar... only thing that'll clean what the crappy wannabe windex leaves behind AND all the stinking fingerprints.
