Favorite Goose Breed

Ok I think I'm convinced.... geese it is. I'll have to do some research on how to house and care for them, but I think I'm ready to conquer my fear of geese. :D
That's what I said last spring. :thumbsup

I had fun raising my big poopy babies. The biggest shock was they actually eat grass. An odd concept to me after keeping chickens, ducks, and Turkey. I picked and snipped up clipping daily for mine. They were nuts when they saw the grass lady coming. :D

Mine hang with my goats and go out to graze with them. Now that we have snow they dig around in the hay and nibble the goats sweet feed, as well as eating some ration and corn.

It has been quite the adventure raising them and figuring out their needs, and how they fit in around here. Now I have it a figured out so I need a few more. If my one male I ordered had survived shipping I would be looking to hatch next spring instead of looking at getting a few more.

I’m thinking I need to start a collection... all the Buff breeds of poultry... there’s quite a few. :D Buff Orpington (chickens), Buff ducks, Buff geese, I’m sure there must be Buff quail and/or turkeys too... heck, maybe some other Buff breeds of chickens too... Buff Brahma, is there a Buff Cochin? Buff Rock? This is going to be quite a collection. :lau
