Favourite breeds?

The gorgeous big, fluffy, blousey Orp....so pretty and such daftly tame creatures! My girls remind me of plump old ladies, gossiping over the garden fence and when they run, they 'up their bloomers' and wobble from side to side....so funny!

Well, my favorite breeds ( I do like All breeds, even Naked Necks and Show girls), but to do a good job and to study enough to KNOW a breed quite well, chose DUTCH Bantams years ago, and while do not have room to keep them now, for large fowl, would again have Speckled Sussex! Really liked them!!! So, we can be friends?

Although neither Buff Orpingtons nor Speckled Sussex are my very favorite breeds, I've had both breeds and like them both. They are both beuatiful, friendly, gentle breeds that lay pretty well. For this reason, I still keep a few Buff Orpingtons in my flock along with my Black Sex Links and Black Australorps.
