My wish list includes several ducks - silver appleyard, buffs, ancona.... who am I kidding, I'd take any duck if I had the room.

I agree! If only we had infinite space. My wish list includes several ducks - silver appleyard, buffs, ancona.... who am I kidding, I'd take any duck if I had the room.![]()
Oh do tellHowever it would take a lot of convincing to have a Pekin again.
They have great personalities, but dealing with leg issues is such a pain. None of my other ducks have that many issues. She seems to always get herself into trouble and reinjure her feet, causing bumblefoot again. While she is rather cuddlely now, I prefer not having to treat her feet all the time.Oh do tell
What do the Pekin do? It stole your weed whacker didn't it? I hate it when they do that.
Here's my old drake

That... And she waited till I moved behind her to launch a massive poop at me. I can still remember how wet and warm it felt. I still hold a grudge. Plus, when I soak her, she tries really hard to maneuver her butt pointed in my direction me. She gives up after she poops.
Yup! But she is my turd, and for some reason I still love her. What a turd!
I sense there is more to this story, possibly filled with horror.Helped rescue a Loon once. It had landed on the road when it was fooled by the shimmering heat thinking it was water. They can't take off from land, so we caught it and released it in our lake. Now talk about a bird that can shoot poop ...![]()
We had a loon that we found injured in our pond last winter. I thought that was really weird that a loon would end up where we live in southern Oklahoma. Anyways, we tried to save her, but she had something wrong internally and she passed on after a couple of days. I remember that she was very aggressive! LolHelped rescue a Loon once.
