Ok the eggs went in. Humidity is 55-60%, temp is 99.5-100. Not huge fluctuations in either, has held steady for hrs now. Set 25 eggs! Here goes nothin!

Congrats to everyones hatches!!

You are going to drown your chicks before they even hatch with that humidity. Get it down to at least the 40's.

I bought 31 EE eegs off craigslist for my first time trying to hatch eggs. They started hatching yesterday morning and I have 22 little guys in my brooder now! I was so worried that I would do something wrong, if the digital thermometer/hydrometer was acurate, did I handle the eggs right, so many things! Then I was very suprised that it worked LOL.


I just bought 36 BCM eggs and can't wait for them to get here. Hope I have the same luck with the mailed eggs as I did with the ones form CL. I'm very excited.

I wanted to tell you - I ended up with 2 pure BR's from the ones that hatch - and I think one of the ones I tossed today was one as well. It's so nice to know that Sam does get a piece of the action - even if it's just a little piece. I laugh every time I look in the brooder - there are so many BOish chicks and so few BR's. You can totally tell who the dominant rooster is.

The ones that just hatched I picked up from the lady's and I haven't gotten the ones from the mail yet. They should be here on tues day or wed.

i have 2 in incubator 1 that seem to be quitters. But they will stay in til the end now. Will mark them special when I take them out of the turner Sunday morning, OMG SUNDAY MORNING!!!!!!
