Thanks for your reply. I have 4 eggs incubating upright because of detached air-cells and I must have missed this one and it has been incubating on its side. Do you think I should go ahead and put it upright too?

I would, though it is probably ok at this point either way. I tend to err on the side of caution.

Hey guys can y'all help me with some advice? What is the best way to incubate eggs that have a little saddled air cell? I didn't notice one of my eggs has it until I candled yesterday (day 12) and I saw the air cell. Here's a couple pics. Part of the air cell is saddled to the side.

You could ask 5 people on here that same question and get 6 different answers.

@LadiesAndJane gave you some good advice. The air cell doesn't look too bad to me. It should level out significantly before hatch time. Once I've started incubating, be that horizontal or vertical, I stick with that orientation through hatching. I *think* I get a slightly better hatch rate doing this but I admit I could be splitting hairs.

Hey all - I've got a few in the bator due towards the end of the month. My flock of Silverudd's is laying well, so I've got quite a few of those. I'm also working with a couple crosses, hoping to develop something worthwhile... Jury's out on those for at least another couple generations. But - gotta start somewhere!

Nice! Have you heard about the testing for the homozygous blue shell genes? I think it's relatively new. Or at least I just read about it this week. It's was news to me.

I have a Greenfire farms mix 11 out of 12!, 16 of my Maran eggs, 7 of my Call Duck eggs and today i put in 24 shipped Barnevelder eggs.

So, we’re not out of the woods yet, but I candled this morning and have at least two with good veins that are lively moving around. I have a single brown egg from my flock in which I saw a bit of movement, but not much veining - so unsure about that one. Another one looked maybe okay and I’m pretty sure I lost two for sure, but they will stay through lockdown.

I just raised the humidity and backed away, so going to let things play out as they do.

Packed the incubators a couple of days ago with CL and Isbar eggs. Not hard to do since they are Brinsea Minis.

Shopping for a cabinet incubator as I write this. Best wishes with your peeps everybody
