Haha, yea sounds like a tune I know!
Not sure how many eggs he will send, probably 18ish. These are coming from a different friend. He has black and starting some blues this year. Beautiful birds.

Thank you for the link! They do have beautiful birds...and the best part? They appear to be within driving distance of me! Their website doesn't say what their exact address is (or I didn't see it ;))...but it says upstate SC which is usually considered Greenville/Spartanburg. I might just get some eggs from them in the fall!

It is day 14 and my chick is getting a little bored by her self waiting for the other chicks does any one know of any toys I can get her or make her

Lots of people use mirrors, or stuffed animals, or a feather duster? I also saw someone mention something that I thought would be awesome -- take a Styrofoam ball and gather chicken feathers, and stick them into the ball. Dangle over the brooder and it feels like a momma hen!

Yesterday was day 7!! I candle them all and only 2 were in fertile (Hatchery Welsummer eggs) and one GLW egg from my flock was questionable so I left it in. So that leaves me with 29 eggs that are for sure good! one egg looked like the chick was a lot bigger than the rest or there are 2 chicks in that egg:hmm. soooo excited to see how many hatch!!
Here are a few pics!!

wolf, can you make her a roost? or put a small box in her coop she can hope up on... when you introduce her to the babies do it in a dark box, so they can talk to each other but not peck.
thanks yes i can get her a roost im hoping she likes the new little ones she is really sweet she was picked on when she was hatching the first chick that hatched would not leave her alone lol but i know she misses her friends so i think she will be happy to have more with her :)

We put 3 eggs in incubator February 1st and 3 more in on the 3rd
They are all Easter egger golden comet cross which I'm not sure what they are going to look like but they are darn cute when I candle. 1 egg was totally translucent (not fertile) after day 10 so we have 5 a brewin :pop
