Well first you missed the line about using the woven bags for tote bags. Kind of like the flour sack clothing from the depression era.

I love the idea of making totes then filling them with home made goodies. My sibs and kids think I am kind of a throw-back anyway. I could strengthen that impression with this kind of gift.

Yeah! Old hippies and Mother Earthers, unite! Rawr! I make my own yogurt and, until recently, baked my own bread ... still regaining arm strength following two shoulder surgeries and now doing battle with some dragon that calls itself fibro .... and yeah, the i-gen thinks I walked with dinosaurs but what do they know, right?

Now I love the idea of filling the totes with homemade stuff and giving as gifts. My family already loves the cartons of beautiful eggs I give them. The totes will just be an added plus. They are the best totes you can have. Thanks for the gift recommendation.

I don't have any chicken feed bags to show because I've given them all away but this is a sweet feed bag that I keep in my car for groceries. That's why it's so wrinkled.

I use mine as roofing shingles, they only last about year before the sun decomposes them and then they leak. Good news is that I use the same roofing screws again when I replace them so it costs nothing to repair. Just don't wait too long to replace them or the wood beneath them rots.
