Feed sack recycling ideas??

Pics
My feed comes in plain ol' white feed-lot 50# bags, BUT they have a $0.20 rebate coupon printed on each one! So, about every 6 months I have a coupon clipping party and then turn in a stack to my feed store. Okay...maybe more than 6 months (I hate the clipping part), 'cause the last time I turned in $5.00 worth of coupons. :p
Aw, shoot. You’d get more good out of those bags by repurposing them in all the different ways mentioned in this thread.

Great thread, BYW, @Edie53!

I love this thread!
:lau I love the seat covers, but not necessarily for in my house. I made the Christmas stockings after I saw them on The Chicken Chick’s video. They are very cute.

AND, I LOVE the jacket. I do believe I will make me one of those. A jacket never has crossed my mind. Excellent, excellent idea. I mean, after all, what chicken keeper doesn’t need a water repellent jacket? Kudos to you for finding that. :bow

Our 4-H club kids did this and used the tote bags to pack gifts for their livestock auction buyers. They looked really cool.

Before I got to the jacket on here I was wondering how hard it would be to make semi disposable cover alls or over alls for when you have really messy or nasty jobs to do. no dealing with the mess again to get them ready to be cleaned in the machine just pitchem Kinda like those tyvek suits. An actual set of "froggs toggs" though would be really cool. bet they stand up well to going through the brush to no briars gettin through that thick plastic. Hmm horse riders or motor bike riders that get off the beaten path could use em to make chaps. Shame they dont use fabric bags at all a quilt from those printed bags would be cool. Betcha little time and trouble rolling and stitching seams and then sealing with wak or spray sealer would get ya some neat tarps or awining type covers. I usually save em and wife snatches em up for trash etc. I just hate throwing them away as they do seem to good to just burn up in the trash.
