Fertile eggs gone cold, help!

Hi, I'm trying to find out if my fertile eggs will stay viable long enough for my friend to pick them up and take them home to his incubator. He's not coming til the 29th! How long will eggs last without being either put under a hen or into an incubator?? All I know is to keep them at room temperature. : ) THX

I believe they say a week, but what about the hen who lays a clutch? Their clutch is often larger than 7, even if no other chickens are laying there.
