Ok, I'm new at this guessing game. I think I can see bullseyes on both of my girls eggs. I have 2 pics of each. Tell me what you think please, fertile or not. My 2 girls (a lavendar buff and an olive easter egger) have been away from their roosters for 13 days now. I've got 15 eggs and collected these two that were laid today. Hoping to take the rest from the last 7 days and put them in the incubator. 🤞🤞

I was told most hens will stay fertile for on average up to 15 days because they store the roos sperm in their SSTs. Some rare cases up to a month. Why do you say if they are fertile that far out that there would be a lower hatch rate and poor genetics?

To answer your question the bottom egg looks fertilized to me. The upper one might be it just doesn’t look as defined.

I have always heard that poultry can stay fertilized for two to three weeks. The closer you get to the end of that time the more likely you will be to get clears.
