"Fess Up Everyone, How Many Eggs A Day Do You Really Eat?

My wife and I go through 1.5 to 2 dozen a week. More if I am making potato salad, baking or deviled eggs. We are on/off though its not consistant, I can go almost a week and not touch a egg then go through a dozen in two days.

I eat two hard boiled eggs a day, they go just great with a banana in the morning, during the week. I cook with at least 1-2 eggs a day in other meals. I keep a fresh container of egg salad in the icebox along with a tray of deviled eggs. Weekends, its omelets, sunny side up, scrambled...........love my eggs!

Alright, that is pure magic, to be able to keep a tray of deviled eggs anywhere. If I make deviled eggs, they disappear so fast it looks like they've evaporated. I have a twelve year old boy in the house, so that might be part of it.

I like having hard boiled eggs as a portable snack. They are great for a protein boost when you're tired.

We don't eat a lot of eggs - maybe 1/2 dozen a week, mostly in baking. Sometimes I'll get on an egg kick and eat 2 eggs daily for breakfast for a few weeks, then I'll go back to just using eggs for baking.

My husband HATES eggs and won't eat anything that has visible egg bits in it. The kids aren't crazy about eggs either and don't really eat them.

LOL!! You are right that it is pure magic to keep a tray of deviled eggs in the icebox, they never last more than a day! My kids and their friends that comes to the house makes a bee line straight to the kitchen to get some, the grand kids are even catching the egg fever. I like to believe the old saying, "the way to a persons heart is through their tummy.

Try adding a little bit of garlic salt in your egg mixture then you too will be required to keep a tray of them on hand at all times.

I, personally, eat 1 over easy egg daily on toast, a corn tortilla or rice for breakfast. I will occasionally have one for dinner in fried rice or pasta. I don't bake much. I'm vegetarian and eggs are my primary source of animal protein.
