Fighting with flock's new members

October Update... The Bob Whites did get vicious towards the Coturnix when they reached adulthood. So I sold the Bob W's and kept the coturnix because they are easier to handle. It was a very hard decision but it was the best thing I could do for everyone. Bob Whites are so clever and beautiful but it had to be done.

Bobs need space, bigger the flock the bigger the pen or aviary, they fight all summer no matter what you do, come fall they covey and are more tolerant and social. Keep many hides in the enclosure and i personally would not mix with other quail unless in a large avary. They will attack and kill strangers if they out number and can trap them in a corner
