fireworks ban

We used to get on our roof in OKC and watch the downtown works, but after our neighborhood became Little Tiajuana, it became too dangerous with folks replacing fireworks with 9mm's and fully automatic weapons fire.

Legal here, but not the big suckers. Those people drive to Missouri to get. But this year, thanks to the Mighty Mo, you have to drive way way way far around, so people aren't bothering.

I like the fireworks but they banned them here in NW Louisiana this 4th. I completely agree with it though its just to dry and already had 2 forest fires close to us from someone tossing a cigarette out the window so was really concerned about all the kids not paying attention to what happens after their pretty show is over

Most of the cities around here ban them. Doesn't stop people in my neighborhood from setting them off for weeks heading up to the fourth though.

They're banned for personal use here, but people bring them up from Mexico. Also, there's a push to eliminate or reduce the number of public fireworks show here, too.

Here in Ohio illegal to set them off , you can buy them here, BUT MUST take them out of the State within 48 hours, and sign a form that you are take them out of State......

GUESS THEY DON'T WANT OHIO TO BURN,BUT OK FOR OTHERS

Gardengirl you are right it was just a question not a life debate.

We live about a mile from were our town nornally does the fireworks show, we are on a big hill so we can see over the trees. we just open the livingroom curtains and watch in the comfort of the A.C.
