First case of impacted crop - advice

Well..I'd like to start antibiotics, but I don't have any at all. So my only options are what might be available locally without a prescription, which is why I asked about alternatives.
You could try it, but I think the types of bacteria that cause this type of infection are resistant to it.

In post 17 there is a link on where to buy enrofloxacin (Baytril) with dosage. It would be good to have something that treats E.coli and mycoplasma, since many reproductive infections can be introduced by those bacteria. Emycin and amoxicillin can treat some bacteria, but not E.coli, in my understanding.

"Eggcessive...I'm not ignoring your suggestion, and am planning on buying that. But I wanted to get something started with this bird while waiting for that to arrive, which could be a few days.

Oh, I understand. Amoxicillin would be better than Emycin I think, but Baytril is better. If anyone has any cipro tablets, that is close to Baytril

The poor girl is so lonely right now. When I stop by her crate to visit, she is just sitting there looking so sad, but jumps up to visit with me. I think she misses her flock mates.

So I went to check on her and she laid another soft shell egg. It appears that she laid it and it broke open and she ate it but then she also had a blowout across her crate.
