First Egg Countdown

My girls are prob between 22-25 weeks and nothing! :/ some have red combs for a while now but still no egg. I have not witnessed any girls in nest boxes but I have seen feathers in there so hoping they are checking them out v. Feathers just floating in there. No egg songs yet either! They are killing me! Lol

For those that have had eggs...did you notice your girls checking out the boxes? Our nest boxes are inside coop. I usually let them out to range, and I wonder if they even know the boxes are there. I have seen feathers in there, but never caught anyone going into one...thoughts? Should I coop them up until later in morning so they can program their mind to see the boxes? Am I over thinking this?

I love the pullet eggs here in this thread-so adorable!!!! <3 Congrats everyone-I so hope to join u all soon!

Yes, they will practice in the nests right before they start laying. No need to coop them up unless you catch them laying elsewhere.
 
I am dying here and I need to share before I burst! Yesterday I saw one of my girls squatting and today she squatted again and she has been digging around in one of the nesting boxes!
