First Egg Countdown

this is my penny :) and I got one named henny too lol :)

What is wrong with my chickens. My oldest chickens are 30-33 weeks old then I have some that are like 27-30 weeks old then I have some that are 24 -27 weeks old.Why are the oldest ones really small like the youngest ones are just as big as them.

Another chicken came online here today!
I went out to gather the eggs this morning, and one of our australorps was in the corner of the coop acting very strangely. She was sitting in the corner, her beak right in the wall, and she looked unhappy. For a moment I thought something was terribly wrong, and then I heard the little thud of her egg hitting the floor. GOOD GIRL!
She got a nice treat of a huge handful of cracked corn all for her!

But I'll be working on the nest boxes this afternoon, maybe move the big one under the coop instead of out in the yard. And maybe it will help to raise it up a bit more. Because, so far, the girls are laying everywhere but the nest boxes!

They will get to the nesting boxes in time. Mess up any nest they make in the floor elsewhere when you grab the egg. You have fake eggs or golf balls in the nest, yes? All it will take is one of them to figure it out and the rest will follow.

Joining in the fun! We have 3 Guineas (no idea of the sex lol), 2 Brown leghorn Roos, 5 RIR hens and 14 Brown leghorn hens. And we just got our first egg tonight!! My son found it in the middle of their run. I have no idea who it belongs to, it's smaller than any egg I have ever seen so I am leaning toward the Guineas.

Welcome!

Guineas, now that's a first for this thread! I have never had guineas, so can't help you there. However, I can positively tell you that you will not get any eggs from your 2 roosters.

Congrats on the egg!

Ill join!!

This one I believe is still too young. I was told she was probably only five months.

This lady is the closet I think. about 7 months. As well as the black EE mix below.

The three in the front are the girls. The Polish should already be laying
she is 1.5years old. But Ive only had them three weeks so I hope its the move and new enviroment
thats affecting her. The white Sultan is 7 months and the Gold polish silkiex also.
