I've been worrying myself sick all week, thinking something was horribly wrong with my 28 week-old buff silkie, Tessa. She had been squatting and practicing her egg song (good signs), but was also waddling and pulling her legs up underneath her while she stood and had a very swollen abdomen (bad signs). Last night I had myself convinced that she had egg yolk peritonitis and was going to die...
Then this morning, I found this little beauty, right in the nesting box:
1 1/8oz of creamy white silkie egg goodness! I'm so relieved that Tessa is okay after all, and so proud of my big girl!
