First Egg Countdown!!

We got our first!!!! I had been waiting and waiting and waiting! 19 weeks to the day. So far, only one hen is laying. Hopefully the others will catch up soon. 3 more the same age and 4 more a few weeks younger.

Found our first egg yesterday (8-11-13) around dusk. It was so small and cute

I have a small flock of 6, 2 of them have been squatting but we're not sure who laid the egg

 
Do you see it? I could hardly believe it. OUR FIRST EGG arrived Monday 8/12/13! Nine chickens, one started laying. Oh, happy day! When will the others start? Lol

I am sooooo excited!!! And it's a good size too! I feel like a little kid looking for Easter eggs every day, anticipating the find, today I finally got the rush, it's here, it's here, it's here! Woo hoo Henrietta! You go girl! Now I'm doing the egg dance!

We just our first egg ever yesterday (it's sitting between the quarter and an extra large egg)! Our golden buff, Spot, laid first, just as I thought she might. It's a cute one. Small egg, but perfect in my eyes. What a good girl! Now we're on egg watch to see which hen will lay next. Felt like Christmas morning.
