First egg - dont know breed

    our family got our first egg today! However I dont really know what breed it is.. Can someone tell me? We have wyandottes, orpingtons, dominques and an australorp. Thank you! :)

    I believe the eggs from Wyandottes and Orpingtons are lighter tan in color. I'm not familiar with your other two breeds, but that should narrow things down a bit for you.

    Yay!!!! If you have time to hang out at the coop, mid-morning is always the busiest at my house...you can watch and see who goes in and when. And listen for the happy egg song, too!
