First Egg!!!!!

First egg first egg first egg first egg!

Oh boy finally! I'm pretty sure it is Betsy the Delaware because when I petted her today she did the mounting squat. She sang an egg song LOUDLY this morning but laid the egg very quietly.

It is a small first egg about 1 1/2 inches long but perfevt in every other way!

And she laid in a nest box with a fake egg just like she was suppose to! What a girl!

...isnt it a wonderful feeling to get that first egg? That feeling hasnt went away for me, i have 5 girls laying now and its so great to go to the hen house. Best so called chore of the day!
