If you can keep track of your humidity it will help a lot! The correct humidity levels during incubation is crucial. Here's a very good article on humidity that explains it better than I can:

Next time aim for 45% - 50% for the first 18 days and after that 60% - 65%. But, hey, 12 chicks is not bad at all considering! Pics, please

Easter Egger/Barred Rock Mix

This was part of the fun - A guy gave me some randome eggs. Well the easter egger and barred rock was my egg before we traded the mean evil rooster for the incubator and eggs!!
