Make sure it stays on something soft so it doesn’t drag and catch it on something. A lot rec putting on a soft cloth in a cup or small bowl till the sac is completely absorbed

They are all spraddle legged at first. Give them a couple of days. Wow you had a very successful hatch!

What is in the floor of your bator?

That looks like Brinsea hatching thingys. They work fine for me. Cardboard you throw away after the hatch. But the shelf liner sounds good too. Soft and washable.

Yes, I like shelf liner idea. It was a brinsea hatch pad... like cardboard - a bit crappy if you ask me.

Here they are, and all of them are active. Three in the picture, five sleeping under the heater. They come running to me when I talk to them. During the last week of incubation, I was talking to them a couple of times a day. And if I was on the phone I went and stood by them so they heard my voice. They have zero fear of me. I imagine they will follow me around like they would a momma duck.

OMG. They are poop machines of the first order!
They have also almost tripled in size in less than a week. Wow!
I love them.
