Iā€™ve actually counted 11 (of 26! 84% of the eggs incubated were still ticking along at the start of lockdown! šŸ™ŒšŸ») hairline cracksā€¦ of COURSE the first obvious pip is at the wrong end though šŸ™„

Quail chicks: always working hard to die under even the most ideal circumstances! šŸ˜…

Iā€™ll keep yā€™all updated but tomorrow is only day 17 so I imagine they wonā€™t be super speedy to zip just yet.

I can see at least an X crack on all but two of them! Bless these babies for working at the same speed, itā€™s like they know I have the patience and the chill of a toddler šŸ˜†

Does anyone else cheerlead their eggs?

Who else does this? šŸ™ˆ Just me?

yes they do trust me we have about 20 ranging in age and the week old when they get out they take 24 hours to catch
and the 4-5 week olds are just to fast

Countless times I sit n stare thinking "am I just watching eggs rot?" They take soooooo long sometimes n some pip n zip in seconds šŸ˜‚

I'm waiting for the last egg to hatch .... I so wanna just peel back tht lil pip I have to sit on my hands šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
