First quail. --Holy Crap I have babies!--

So these would be my first quail ever. I guess they are Chinese Painted Button Quail? I wanted something to test my new incubatore I got for christmas and found these locally. I hope they hatch. Stupid bator spiked to 107 at one point the first or second day...got it running steady at abou 99.3. Anyone have any Chinese Painted Button Quail? Pics of them? Info?

Chinese Painted Quail are also known as Chinese Blue Breasted Quail "Button quail" So I hope you know they are monogamous and will need to be paired up when adults (they are not colony birds)

i'm trying to convince myself not to get a few more eggs to try to get more females since i'm chicks now look like maybe boys out# the girls .

black faced red breasted male huh? i have a 3 week old that looks exactly like picture #7.cool. it came from someone who told me they didn't know what to call the color ,that they are "the other grey colored buttons" Same folks that i got my maybe Blue faced ..from .Only 4 hatched from a dozen of those eggs out of 14.The rest didn't even look fertile when i broke them open.
any way.,a Black faced would be cool.

i have a white that i'm SURE is a white...after that i'm not swearing to anything with these Buttons ...i'm such a ditz when it comes to figuring out the colors since i'm new to having them...LOL
i like the Black faced pics. i guess i'll know if it's a black. faced in the next couple months huh?
