I guess. Never had the problem before. The trees were dotted with little red balls of what look like sap. My hands got sappy fast.

Gloves might have been a good idea....course then you ruin the gloves....hates sap!I guess. Never had the problem before. The trees were dotted with little red balls of what look like sap. My hands got sappy fast.
Here is my "ol crap" moment. That 6' tall snow covered mound is my north bamboo patch. That is where the rabbits appear to be hiding.
Tying them should work.More snow headed my way. My original plan to diligently shake snow off my bamboo as it snows was not a workable idea. So for the next round of snow I'm "lassoing" clumps with rope and cinching them tight together using a trucker's hitch. This will be interesting to see if it keeps the stuff from collapsing under the snow.
The visual on this just made me horf my coffee--big feathery butt and kicking chicken feet sticking out of said snow drift...it was more than I could handle this soon out of bed.I had a Cochin roo who tried to fly over a three-foot wide snow drift. He got stuck head first in the drift like a dud rocket with feathered tail fins.
Moral: leave the flying to the games who don't carry so much ballast.
Tying them should work.
Was just wondering this morning if the bamboo that got knocked down by the snow has risen back up......or maybe the snow hasn't melted there yet?
Sounds like mass mutiny to me, Jim. I'd be afraid, very afraid. Admit you're outnumbered 50/1.
