First Real Snow Event in Five Years for Central Missouri

@SueT - def, I see the snow and shiver with you - but so glad I don't have to shovel it!! I did live in Chicago for years and can just sigh, when forty to me now, feels like 10 up there!!

I will take the snow and cold over the heat and humidity any day.
I lived in FL for a about 6 months long ago...couldn't wait to get back up here!

Yikes! Stay safe everyone. I'll stop whining about the heavy rain and wind we've been getting now. (as long as the trees stay up, anyway) My hens are true California girls, though, they won't come out in the rain. Spoiled girls.

Mine is coarse gravel where through a little valley. Original intent was to use truck all the way to barn bit 4 wheel drive failed. Base also too soft promoting ruts this time of year.

Sounds like a tractor with 4 wheel drive and a FEL or carry all on the back is in order.

That winter storm is heading my way. Tonight we will get a little dusting of 1 - 2 inches, not enough to shovel. The big storm is predicted for Saturday into Sunday with 1 foot of snow and temps around 0 over night. I guess I'll get to use my new snow blower. Good luck in Michigan all.

I need a cart or wagon with bigger wheels.

I use a two wheeled gardening wheelbarrow for wet ground and heavy bags. We also have modified wooden wheelbarrows for hay bales in the sheep area. Think a wheelbarrow without the bucket and more like a dolly (an angled platform with a little lip to keep the bale on)

haha yep, but as a kid we don't really have a choice (then of course I met and married my hubby and started my life and career here - hooked!) it really isn't that bad once you get used to it!

Crap I just got 1/2" of snow and it started bending my bamboo over. So I went out there to shake it off, and is that ever a miserable experience. Not doing that again.

Weather outlook greatly changed. Expecting a low of 9 F tomorrow with sustained winds of 19 mph and gust 27 mph. Wind breaks are in place. Ground is very sloppy from last event.

With some of the pens I put out the cedar as planned. Birds moved to roost directly under and next to it. My hands are itching with red blotches in a big way.
