I changed the brooder bedding from straw to heater wooden pellets, since the straw wasn't working too well in terms of absorbing stuff. Will this be fine? I read on the internet many people use this bedding but I am afraid the goslings might poison themselves by eating the wooden pellets...
They are those pellets you put in heaters, basically sawdust pressed together. I saw them nibble on them but I think they understood it is not food. The smell is definitely nicer though, these pellets absorb stuff like crazy
I don't know what wooden pellets are.
Have you seen them eat any?
I live in Texas...we don't have heaters here. They are those pellets you put in heaters, basically sawdust pressed together. I saw them nibble on them but I think they understood it is not food. The smell is definitely nicer though, these pellets absorb stuff like crazy![]()
