first time hatching goose eggs :o

I changed the brooder bedding from straw to heater wooden pellets, since the straw wasn't working too well in terms of absorbing stuff. Will this be fine? I read on the internet many people use this bedding but I am afraid the goslings might poison themselves by eating the wooden pellets...

I don't know what wooden pellets are.

Have you seen them eat any?

They are those pellets you put in heaters, basically sawdust pressed together. I saw them nibble on them but I think they understood it is not food. The smell is definitely nicer though, these pellets absorb stuff like crazy :)
I live in Texas...we don't have heaters here. :lau

Lol! Looks like this anyway:

It's used in horse stables mainly or in heaters. It's a cheap alternative to pine shavings which are very expensive around here, whereas pine pellets are very cheap.

They moved outside today!!! I finished building their new house, they'll live in there while they finish feathering up, then they will free-range during the day and just sleep there. Had to leave a small hole under the door because the terrain wasn't leveled, but I don't think my dogs (my main predators) will do anything, and when they will be fully feathered up they will be too big for them to care.
