First Time Hatching....Round 2

Wow... thanks so much for the fantastic fast responses
I found a fan at a second feed supply store across town.
Still trying to locate a hydrometer.... Cenex, Ace hardware and Dell's supply have none.
I will call the local Petco and Home Depot.
It will be interesting to see what hatches/matures.
My rooster is a white/black sexling and my hens are everything else!
Thanks again!!
We are sooo excited.................

Its a miracle, I havent opened the incubator or candled, and its already day 4, hope I can hold out till lockdown

Went out to the coop to collect eggs and I noticed some really funny looking poops...... they were bright PURPLE /BLUE

I almost had a heart attack. First thought was that they all had some sort of crazy sickness. Then I remembered that I gave them, drum roll please......... Purple Cabbage, a whole head.

After looking around the barnyard on my way back to the house I noticed lots of purple piles everywhere.

I hate to say it but I want them to be fuzzy for a little while longer. Anyone else feel that way??

I agree my first batch is about two weeks old and they seem to have feathered out quicker than any other chicks I've raised before. Maybe since they didn't suffer the rigors of the US postal service. It might be a good thing, they are going to have to be out of the brooder in four weeks so the new hatchlings can use it.

Soo cute. Thank you for sharing.
Looks like some of them are araucanas?
They have some similar markings as my araucana chicks had.
My husband is going to kill me if I keep adding eggs to the incubator....
My coop will need to be expanded again if all these hatch.
Oh well, my addictions could be worse! lol
