First time incubating: how do they look so far?

I got the 4th on video! It was awesome! It zipped fast and then popped itself out. I got to see the 5th one hatch too. So I'm up to 5! If the big egg hasn't pipped and the bantys are all fluffed out I'm going to pull them out quick.

Thanks!! Congrats on yours as well!! They're adorable!
Still nothing on the barred rock egg. I've heard bantams hatch a little sooner than bigger chickens so I'm trying not to worry yet. No movement that I can catch and not pipped yet..
Today is just day 21 so going to give it a couple more days.

Yes my bantams started pipping at day 19 and hatched by day 20 so your barred rock should be along shortly :)
It's so hard to wait isn't it and such a worry. I had to sit on my hands when they were hatching !!

freaking adorable!!! duckchick keep us posted!! Im on day 11. 10 days to go, lock down in a week and my hatch date is the 30th. I candled this morning, I think I lost one :( Still got 4 with movement though and two I cant see in.

Don't ya just hate those ones that you can't see in? lol.... I had a few, but once they got to about 10-12 days (and I changed my batteries!) I could see in all of mine. I started with 18, removed 3 clears and 1 with a tiny blood spot, so I have 14 going strong. Looked at half yesterday, and half this morning and don't see any issues of concern at this point. Will candle and weigh them all tomorrow, and get ready for the show!

for the dark ones im basically just watching the air cells really all I can do. changed my batteries in my flashlight but didn't have any luck seeing any better.
