Flea control question

We use Frontline. I used Advantix and it did fine for fleas,but didn't kill the ticks. I used Bio Spot for awhile,but it caused an awful rash on Trixie and after awhile,it didn't work very well. If it's in your house,I'd sprinkle 10% Sevin and leave it overnight,then vacuum/sweep it up.

I was told by someone to try, Murphy's Oil Soap mixed with water, soak the dog with it let set a bit and then shampoo them with the Murphy's. Anyone ever tryed this and if so, Did it work???
