Flock Update:
My ladies had a treat this morning of Vegies and Cereal which they went crazy over! Jumping up at the bowl to see what they are getting today. I collected 1 egg before I left for work this morning and I have 2 pre ordered dozen eggs so that's good. More money for the coop savings

Hi! My name is Monica. My 5 yo has been obsessed with chickens since he was 3. This week we got their brooder all set up and he picked out some starters from Atwoods. We started with button quails about two months ago and he has done great with them.

We have 6 chicks, 2 button quails, and three quail eggs in a make shift incubator. We find out about the 6th (this week) if we got babies .

This is General Tao-ie

This is Sesame

This one is BBQ (this one is my fav, she cuddles in my hands)

This is Lemon

And this is Soy.

My husband let my get them with the stipulation that they be named by what tastes good with chicken.
Our quails Chase and Sunny.

Sorry for marker on glass... we are building their new digs along with our chicks' as well. Sunny is the white female.

The homemade incubator. I have a reptile temp/humidity gauge in there i mist a bit when it gets low, temp between 99 and 101, and turned 3 times daily.

Your chicks are soooo cute! Your like me! I name my chickens after food or alcohol lol.
I currently have Hazel, Coco and Almond.

Thank you! Haha yeah the naming here gets weird but fun! I can't wait to see what these guys will look like with their adult feathers on! Since we're not sure on breeds it'll be fun!

Some of the ladies on here might have an idea what breeds they might be. But its hard to say until they become adults sometimes.
The black ones look like the Black Australorp chicks I had.

Yes, she's still the bully. She pecked a new Marans so much that my poor Marans is now bald all around her comb! Thanks for the compliment for the photo of my Leggie!
