Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Hi! Im super excited for 2019. I’ve had chickens for 2 years and a turkey for 1 year. The picture (if it uploads) is my favorite! He’s a Narragansett red bourbon cross. Saturday I am picking up a red bourbon female for him.

I am going to try and breed turkeys and some chickens.

I also have 3 silkies, 1 frazzle, 2 sizzles, and 1 naked neck.

Hello and Welcome. My names Krystal.
Your Turkey is beautiful! I hope to see you Red Bourbon on the weekend :D

I know I haven't been keeping up with this thread, but thought I'd stop in again. And then thought, Oh, why not share pictures of my new chicks? :)
On Tuesday I picked up two from Orscheln's, a so-called Ameraucana (they spelled it right, too, but I know she's most likely an Easter Egger), and a California White (though I think she's mislabeled, too, as none of the chicks had even one grey spot on them). And then yesterday morning I got a Silkie bantam, a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, a black Turken, and a blue slate turkey poult, who is extremely loud but very sweet. :love

How old are they? The second photo looks like my light sussex chicks I had! :love

Here's some pictures from today.

I like to call a few of my girls bearded BCM. It's a cute mix don't you think?

It was hot out today, so everyone got some cooling lettuce.

You can't see it very well, but this lady is molting hard around her neck right now.

I have a bunch more pictures, but my phone isn't wanting to work right now.

I meant mixes that can be traced back to the blue egg gene. :p
I know!

There are others though that make the claim that all other blue egg layers are EEs.

I was in 4-H in the 1970s when the Ameraucana was created from breeds like barred rock and araucana
