Flock/Life Journey's 2019

So your incubator does it all? What brand is it? I want an incubator that I set and it does the thing its self.

Im good lovely, How are you and your family? :love

It does :love its a Brinsea Octagon Advanced 40 :love and its amazing except that the turner broke. I still triple check the temp and hunidity as a worry wart but all my hatches are "popcorn" hatches where several usually pop at once over and over high hatch rates. Thats a common issue w them, the turner? the little arm that attaches to the motor gets overworked and mine crashed 30something duck eggs to the floor! I still hatched 20somethin of em but didnt ever replace the turner. im glad to jus tilt the whole incubator from one side to the other a couple of times each day. Thats all thats needed of it for turning. Its pricey and i wouldnt have been able to afford it if it wasnt for how i found it less than half price on craigslist  its paid for itself tho in the amount of eggs its hatched and then some im so glad i have it.

Ron has the same one and doesnt like how i set up my eggs in mine

Were good thanks! Missed Mardi Gras but the littles still got some beads to play w and i got my king cake so im not too upset :)

No prob! This is a lot of help!! Thank you! I'll switch things around a bit and I'll just wait and see. :D It's my first attempt so i knew there was a chance it wouldn't be successful  I'll keep those badges in mind! :thumbsup

Your very welcome! Im glad to be able to help! theres just a Little tad of a learning curve to incubation ;)

I think you set them up fine for manual turning. My turner still works so the eggs spill out on my unless they are snug in the rails.

It is a very nice incubator! Too bad Brinsea does not make it anymore

Krystal here's what theyve upgraded to "ovation" line vs octagons. Too bad, i think they really had something for hand turning w the octagon but theres a smaller version and this isnt quite as expensive as mine was when it was brand new. When i say im hand turning i didn't turn but 3 times a day this time when i got up, at lunch and bedtime. Could be done around a work schedule. Still auto turners can be nice and this new line probly has improved turners.

That thing is amazing! I will forsure get an expensive one when I get one. I don't want to play with mine too much I just want to set and wait :love
