One of the ducklings was laying down hardly breathing again, brought it in and rubbed it under a heat lamp and now it’s back out with the mom. Wonder why this is happening, maybe it got too cold.

Couldn’t of been too cold as it was under the mom in their coop.

Its a funny shape but oh well lol.

Congrats! I have two layers that I know who are and a couple I don't know who are. The two I don't know are, one that layed from the roost for a couple days and another that layed in the middle of a walk way.

Gimpy also seemed really interested in the nest box today.

Flock Update:
My girls got to free range this afternoon for awhile whilst I was sitting with them. Got some fresh food in their feeder. The magpies were coming down looking for food so Hazel and Coco bashed them up! Like 5 times for getting too close to me lol. Crazy chickens!

I can't believe Almond finally laid!

Also, another $30 in the coop savings I didn't need much petrol so didn't use all my petrol money for the week. Equals Coop Money

I have started a jar and putting all my tiny extras into it too! Love this idea!
Sounds like a lovely peaceful afternoon

Is it raining there? Its been threatening to rain all night but nothing yet.

As so often happens last night's storm went above or below us. We got nothing except a lot of noise & one scared cat. Might have had a few drops overnight. Bit early for me to tell yet but it looks like being a truly beautiful day here.
