Who else is setting eggs on March 30th for the Easter Hatch-A-along? I’m setting over 30 of my own chicken eggs, and possibly purchasing local hatching eggs as well.

Thank you! I really wanted a colorful egg basket when I restarted my standard flock and I definitely achieved that!

My hubs says I have “egg envy” ... he’s RIGHT!
What lays those BLUE eggs? If you say EE.. Ima cry.... cuz my EE lays a dull greenish/tan egg

Yes, that is quite a lot of eggs, isn’t it? But that’s okay. I’m selling most of them, but you know me, "accidentally" getting attached. Thank you, WhoDat Maybe you’ll accidentally name them for a third time

Flock Update:

Well we started working on ventilation in the shed and moved our chick brooder/cage there. Before that they got to spend some time out in the toasty sun! It was 70F... I'm enjoying it cuz it'll be in the100's before I'm ready.

The fuzzies sure did enjoy the sun! Not so much the drill and saw

All my girls are mixes. My first EE was a hatchery chick that was gifted to me by a family member and she layed a cream colored egg. Quite the disappointment for all those months waiting for a colored egg that never came! She was also really skittish, I'm glad none of my current girls are particularly skittish.

I believe this girl is laying one of the blue eggs. I thought her eggs would be an olive color since she has the copper around her neck like an copper marans and she has a beard.

The lady I got the eggs from had both EEs and Ameraucanas, so at least one of this lady's parents where one or the other.

OMG Yayyy! I am going to look at getting mine from her in the future.
I have asked Jordan to suss out tools he might need for the coop build and we get them when they have specials.

Have you bought from Kate before? She has a most wonderful set up & will answer any questions you might have. She does RIRs too.

I will watch the video when im home love. Im at work at the moment with people around lol they already think im a crazy chicken lady lol.
