I’m sorry loveIt always seems to be the little ones that get pushed to the side when it comes to roosting. Are you able to maybe have 2 small roosts instead
I wish I had a good solution to it

Well, I'm getting older & being able to clean is an issue. The set~up as it is means I can wield a rake with ease even though the coop is raised. My mistake was getting the bantam.
I wanted 2 & I should have waited till I could get 2 the same. My other bantam is an Australorp & very feisty! No~one pushes her around!
I'm still integrating so am hopeful it will all work out in the end. I'm probably worrying over nothing as the little one seems more than capable of looking after herself.

I have a scissor beak that I worried about during integration, but she is probably the most bossiest of them all but definitely the smallest
Thanks, @shelbyw. I don't often have bantams, just because the smaller birds tend to freak me out. They feel super fragile to me. I prefer the bigger, heavier breeds so I am probably over thinking things. It might just take some timeI have a scissor beak that I worried about during integration, but she is probably the most bossiest of them all but definitely the smallest

And I wuv youbantams need love too. I'm bantam size and not fragile.
, I really do. I'm pretty much bantam size too, so how silly can I be?
Aawww, that’s a bummer... what breeds do you have? Most of mine are pretty easy going and like to be near.. but I tell you.. Lilly is a doll and Goosie the SS that is in her group isn’t too far behind... and Mak the CM just copies what they doI want a bird like this! All my girls run away until they are caught. Then they are fine being held. However, none of them go out of their way to be with us.![]()

Oh, too funny.. and of courseThat is awesome! My chickens only run up to me when I open the front door and when they hear the grub bag openingMy roo is the one that will actually follow me and knows his name also. Your pullet is absolutely beautiful and sounds super sweet!

... I’d love a sweet roo one day!
.. I just know it!Oh YAY!!! I’m so happy for you!![]()
All my girls are running around in the coop TOGETHER!!!!!
This morning I let the hens out and the 2 month olds were going stir crazy so i let them out and sat in the coop to see how it went. Only a couple pecks to let the babies know to move but otherwise everyone was happy!!! Then the hens wanted to come in to lay and i didn't want to shut the girls in again, so i let it go, Mustard is a jerk. Cajun came in and laid, and then go up and roosted beside BBQ on the brooder ledgeMustard is still being a jerk but she laid.
The mystery is that I know Cajun laid but when we went to get it it had disappeared. We got the other one, son tripped though and it is a sad day in that area, but otherwise i'm excited!!! I'm going out to check on them every so often.
.... I just hope so badly that mine do the same... I’m getting close
Integration will be the hardestOh, too funny.. and of course... I’d love a sweet roo one day!
