Awwwwww how lovely someone chose to look after it, sad for the mum, but glad about the Joey being given a chance. Its pretty cool. We have Kangaroos had have baby Joeys in their pouches. Its really cute. I had one outside my kitchen window. I was spying on it not to scare it lol. I drove past one that was hit by a car and killed and it had an X painted on it and I was like what the??? So I looked into it and its when someone has removed the Joey and is looking after it! I cried because it lost its mum! But then I was like at least its ok. We have Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos that chill in our yard but they sound like an Eagle so for weeks I was scared to let my chickens out at all lol.

Gorgeous girls! It’s lovely seeing wildlife but then my ex sends me a pic of the king brown he killed yesterday so that tempers it a bit
With all the chick pics I forgot to say that I got my girls home on Thursday! Haven’t had time to build the coop yet so they’ve been “cooped up” in my little eBay one since then, let them out for some supervised free range today which brought my neighbour over to the fence. She’s lived in that house my whole life, said that she knew I’d have chooks because I was always down in the chooks pen as a kid lol. Any way here’s my big girls having a peck around the new yard

Hard to believe this yard was so over grown and green just 2 weeks ago and flooded 2 weeks before that! The harsh qld sun shows no mercy that’s for sure
Beautiful horses!! Lucky you! It's nice to meet you too!
My internet is pretty slow right now, so here is a link to my horse thread. I have a lot of pictures there.

Gorgeous girls!Love the colours, the crisp white and Auburn tinted brown, very pretty ladies.
Had to google king brown - lovely looking snake (I am a snake fan) but the fact that its known to have bitten people while they are sleeping, made me shudder, so you can keep that one!
I've forgotten what grass looks like - last summer was a record breaker for us here, we had a drought lasting about 6 -7 weeks, I had to choose between watering the grass or filling the ducks pool, ducks won hands down - our grass got so burned, coming into Autumn we had less than half our grass left, then with a mixture of constant rain, ducks drilling and chickens eating what few blades of grass were left, we are now down to a back garden which is complete mud![]()
My flocks doing just fine. We got some squats from the young ones so hoping for some eggs soon, despite the temperature in the 10s (*F) and the upcoming storm.I love my ladies. How is your flock love?

I've never seen nor heard of a yellow tailed cockatoo so decided Google it - they are lovely and have the cutest faces, and to think you get them in your garden! Must be like living in paradise with all the amazing wild life you guys have over there.
