:woot A flock of 12! :ya Are you allowed to have roosters where you live?
Yes!! And I know it’s VERY early BUT I am starting to wonder if the little EE I got (which seems to be doing well) is a rooster!... He runs around and chest bumps the others and is bigger than them (which he could be a little older) and when the cats come in and watch them.. he/she is the only one on high alert!
I didn’t really want a rooster but I really kinda do.... soooo, secretly hoping she might be a he.. plus, I think EE’s are the most gorgeous roos!!:fl:oops:

As I was collecting my 1st egg of the day [thanks, Soda] I noticed a nest had come down in last night's wind. Breeding season is over & lots of nests come down about now but when I picked it up I saw how bad this summer has been for all our native wild life. That's a noisy friar bird chick. Even though we keep nearly a dozen bird baths about the place & several small garden ponds it's been tough out there.
