Flock/Life Journey's 2019

We ended up having a really quiet day yesterday. Too big a week last week & we're not as young & spry as we once were. The girls spent most of their outside time huddled against the wire watching what we're doing to what used to be their home.

Here is where we're up too. The structure is mainly marine ply & batten screws. The ply is a thick, heavy duty one ~ thicker than originally planned because the depo screwed up but the man just said, When God wants you to have a chook pen, He wants you to have the best chook pen! lol Which is all well & dandy but we're the ones having to lift it & put it in place. The roof is planned for today & we buy paint tomorrow.

And the passionfruit vine! No Aussie chicken pen worth it's salt is complete without the requisite passionfruit vine ~ or choko~ but a vine it must have! :)

Love it!!!! I haven't heard of this vine... but I'm in US so guess that makes sense.
It looks awesome!
We just decided to convert our shed into the coop!

You may know the choko as chayote, vegetable pear or mango squash. Passionfruit= maracuyá but it needs a warmer climate than I think you have. :)
